Can Easy2Sync for Outlook synchronize my Outlook while it is OPEN? If Outlook is run on the same computer as Easy2Sync for Outlook, the answer is YES. If the file is on a different computer in the network, then Outlook must be closed on that computer. The reason for this lies in the PST drivers and not in Easy2Sync for Outlook. Trick for advanced users: If it is important to you that Outlook is always open, you can split the synchronization. Install Easy2Sync for Outlook on both machines (which you normally wouldn't need to do) and sychronize each local PST file with a third PST files. This third file serves as a bridge and can be synchronized from both computers because it is never opened directly from Outlook.
